Vandenberg SFB is home to Space Launch Delta 30, which provides space and missile testing, range operations, and installation infrastructure needed to place satellites into polar orbit. Personnel on Space Launch Delta 30 support Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Force Development Evaluation programs. Additionally, Vandenberg Space Force Base performs space launches for civil and commercial space organizations such as NASA and SpaceX.
