Career Duties

  • Ensuring the confidentiality, availability and integrity of cyber systems and networks
  • Working with system assets such as software, hardware and firmware
  • Repairing and enhancing security programs, policies and procedures
  • Advising commanders and assessing intelligence to help ensure missions are carried out safely and effectively

Qualifications

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor’s degree with focus on computer and information sciences, mathematics, engineering, management-information systems, computer science or other related fields

Requirements

  • Complete a successful background check
  • Obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • Provide official transcripts
  • Knowledge of information technology, electronics theory, telecommunications, vulnerability assessment and control systems, including cryptography and exploitation techniques
  • Completion of cyberspace training and mission qualification training
  • Knowledge of business and industry practices
